MOO Music Gathering

November 5-7, 2021

WOO HOO!  THE MOO MUSIC GATHERING IS HAPPENING THIS FALL!   We are joyously looking forward to seeing all of our fully-vaccinated friends live and in-person at Camp Edwards.  WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEW FEATURES TO OFFER!

Of course, the threat of Covid-19 and its new Delta Variant has not gone away, but the risks are increasingly manageable for the fully vaccinated population.  Here are some of the steps we are taking to help make this in-person Gathering as safe as it can be.

Covid-19 Precautions and Procedures

1.  All attendees will be required to attest that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as part of the registration process.  We will not be checking vaccination cards, but – for everyone’s health and safety – we trust you to be honest. PLEASE do not come if you are not fully vaccinated.

2. Once registered, please do not come if you are exhibiting flu-like symptoms or have tested positive at the time of the Gathering.  We will fully refund your registration fees if you are unfortunate enough to get sick.

3. Masks are optional, given that everyone in attendance is fully vaccinated.  Camp Edwards’ staff will wear masks when interacting with us.  Please be aware that, in addition to sharing meals and lodging space, there will be much singing and jovial conversation in close quarters.  Each of these are known risk factors for spreading the virus.  Please use your own judgment regarding masks and social distancing according to your comfort level for your situation.

4. Social Distancing will be difficult at best.  Please use your best judgement.

5. If you become ill while at the Gathering, please let our staff know so we can do our best to isolate you.  That may or may not entail setting you adrift in a rowboat on Lake Beulah, but we’ll see.

EXCITING NEW SCHEDULE & FEATURES

How many times have you said to yourself, “Gee, whiz - All these Performer Workshops sound great. I wish I could attend them ALL!”    Well, say no more.  We’ve adjusted the program to schedule the Performer Workshops sequentially, instead of opposite each other in parallel.  Now you can attend all four workshops, if you so choose, instead of having to pick only two.   We hope the new schedule will be a win-win for both performers and attendees.

We had to make a couple of compromises in order to squeeze everything in, but we think you will like them.

First, the day will start a little earlier on Saturday.  Breakfast is a half hour earlier at 7:30, with workshops at 8:30 and 10:15.  The afternoon will run a little longer, with workshops at 1:00 and 2:45, and the concert from 4:45-5:45 and dinner at 6:00.

We changed the workshops from 2 hours in length to 90 minutes.  We’re sure that won’t be a problem for maintaining the desired educational content. Plus, it offers you the opportunity to take in more of what our Featured Performers have to offer.  The one-hour Participant-Led workshops will begin 15 minutes after the start of each Performer Workshop.
