Paper to Pixels
It’s been a few years since some folks started using technology to keep track of their music. I myself have been through a couple of different methods, and would be very interested to hear about what people are using these days. So, let’s get together and talk about your favorite software, pluses and minuses. And if you are just curious to see what the alternatives are to paper blowing in the wind, do come and join in!
Session Leader: Peter Lee
Exploring the Standards
Once upon a time you may have heard certain songs coming from your parents’ or grandparents’ record player... Many of these have been regarded as the “Standards”, the enduring popular American music from the 1920s though the 1950s predating the advent of rock ’n roll. In this workshop we will cover a little history and explore a selection of songs fro that era. All instruments are welcome, but singing along is mandatory (or at least highly encouraged)!
Session Leader: Ling Naiva
Chocoholics Confession
Sue Franke and Chris Ghilani will teach a humorous four-part round to be performed at the open mic. Come join in the fun!
