MOO Music Gathering

November 6-8, 2026
Participant-Led Workshops

These workshops and classes are in addition to the classes led by professional staff.

Songbook Pro

Thinking about making the switch to electronic lead sheets?  Songbook Pro is a powerful and cost-effective tool for managing lead sheets and PDFs.   We'll talk about Songbook Pro and also about the ChordPro format that it uses.   Come on by and learn how you can be one of those "tablet people".

Session Leader: Tony Linz

Still Risin’:  Roots Music in the 21st Century

Roots music is alive and well in the 21st century. This workshop introduces participants to a curated sliver of the folk and Americana songs that have defined the last 26 years. Part history, part jam session—bring your instrument to play along or simply come to discover some great "new-ish" music and the stories behind it. All levels are welcome!

Session Leader: Eric Wright

Short Rounds with Attitude

Learn some rounds that are fun, funny, punny, and pithy to perform at the open mic. Bring one to share if it falls into that genre.

Session Leaders: Sue Franke & Chris Ghilani

UKE Can Do It!

Hello fellow ukulele players! Like our previous Gatherings we will learn and play through a variety of songs and select one to perform for the Saturday evening Open Mic. This workshop will continue as a "uke share" but instead of bringing a song the day of the workshop we will include it ahead of time in the song packet. SO... if you plan to participate and know a song or two you would love to share, please email a pdf file of your selection with the ukulele chords and lyrics included to Ling at MooUkes@Yahoo.com by October 25, and it will be included in the lineup. All skill levels are welcome and there will also be a few extra ukuleles available if you would like to give it a try!

Session Leader: Ling Naiva
